Frostgrave: Second Edition - Launch Day!

The day has finally dawned! Frostgrave: Second Edition is now available!

Now, I don't want to create a panic, but there is a rumour (aRu-Mor?) that it is going fast!

For the moment though, you can still order it in the UK from North Star.

Or, in the USA from Badger Games or Brigade Games.

I hope it lives up to everyone's expectations.

  1. I received it yesterday and read through it last night. Awesome work Joe! I'm switching from sigilist to witch.

  2. It feels like, it's mainly a bunch of nerfs, to get the game in line. What it should be and what it could have been with errata. It's a 1.5 or somesuch.

I hope 3rd Edition will see a major overhaul.

  4. SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! Anyone know when I might expect to receive my order here in California if I pre-ordered direct from Osprey (UK)?

  5. So, did I do it wrong by ordering from Northstar and having it shipped to the States? :)

  6. I ordered mine from North Star, and so got the rule book with a nice apprentice mini for free. The book is very impressive; solid and noticeably chunkier than the previous version.

    And thank you, really.

  8. The Ring of Transference doesn't seem to have a write-up in the Magic Items section. I'm assuming from the title it lets you cast Transpose or shift around some damage?

  11. A few questions on the book Joe, since I can't seem to find where to ask osprey. 1: is the max armor on shield 14 (as the spell cards say) or 15 (as the max armor rule says)?
2: what does the ring of transference do (no entry i can find, but in the treasure table)
3: do you take falling damage from leap if you move down vertically?

  13. just got the book. I've been having fun going through page by page and comparing the two editions. So far the only thing I'm not loving is the new artist. No offense to Ru-mor but Dmitry was unbeatable. He brought a believability, life, depth, and soul to the art. Ru-mor's art just feels generic and flat.

Other than that quibble evening is looking good.
