Wolf Rider

I recently received an ‘advance test sprue’ of the forthcoming goblin wolf riders for Oathmark. I admit, I’ve been looking forward to these, so I quickly put one together to paint. I didn’t have any of the official bases, so I just grabbed what was at hand.

As I’m obviously biased, I’ll just let the photographs do the rest of the talking. I believe the figures will be officially released early next year.

  3. I like the rider. I find the wolf to beefy.

  4. The riders are amazing but I'm not too big a fan of the chunky wolves to be honest.
    Beautiful paintjob though.

  5. Nice paint job. I'm starting to feel the hype for Oathmark now. After analysing the heck out of Frostgrave, Ghost and Rangers mechanics (and enjoying actually playing them) I'm keen to see how you do mass battles.

The minis have a retro/classic feel and style which has been a hit in lots of other forums the last 5+ years now, so I hope they do well. Some miss the mark for me, like these chubby wolves, or the Heavy Dwarf infantry, but no range ever nails it 100%. GW LOTR certainly have some clangers.

  7. Will Oathmark be released next year? What would be an average model count for a game? Great looking model and paint job!

    1. Yes. It is designed to be played with 30 - 300 models.

  8. Do you have any hints what the Dwarf Cavalry might ride? I'm hoping for Longhorn Goats, or vicious ponies.
